Trout Fishing In The Lidder And Sindh Valley

The Lidder Valley is a fisherman's dream: pure mountain air, peaceful surroundings and bountifully populated waters. The Lidder River feeds the entire region of lush meadows and magnificent clear lakes with a series of tributaries and streams all of which teem with rainbow and brown trout. The best time for fishing stretches from April to September, and the best spots are known by locals, so we always know where to head to find the best fishing.

We can arrange fishing expeditions out of Srinagar into the Lidder Valley on an individual basis according to your time frame and according to the best current fishing locations. Permits are issued for a maximum of three days at a time on a first-come first-served basis, and are charged on a per day per rod basis. We will arrange your permit as well as the renting of fishing equipment, if you require. Overnight expeditions in the Valley are available. Sleeping in modern tents with cooked breakfasts, packed lunches and cooked evening meals are provided.

Day 01:- Srinagar International Airport & 14 Kms Drive to City Centre Altitude 1730 Mtrs.
Arrival at Srinagar international airport our RIE representative will meet & Greet you and transfer to Deluxe Houseboat/Hotel in Srinagar, Afternoon tour of Mughal Gardens Visits the Heritages Places, Cheshma Shahi (By Shah Jehan in 1632 AD.), Pari Mahal (By Dara Shikoh), Nishat Bagh (By Asaf Khan in 1633 AD.), Shalimar Bagh (By Jehangir in 1616 AD), Evening return back to Houseboat/Hotel, dinner & overnight stay

Day 02: Srinagar - UPPER LIDDER VALLEY - Pahalgam (Fishing)
Early Morning after breakfast leave for Pahalgam (The Valley of Shepherds), one of the beautiful and fascinating ideal resorts all the year. It is the base for several treks in the region & for the Annual Pilgrimages to the cave shrine of Amarnath; It is surrounded by 12 high snow capped peaks. En rout, Visit the Saffron Fields of Pampore, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old Temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman) & enjoy the beautiful countryside life. Drive through the pine valley forest arrive at Pahalgam and enjoy your packed lunch on the banks of the Lidder Stream, One can have a real feelings of Paradise, on arrival at Pahalgam check inn Hut/Hotel afternoon you will leave for trout fishing in the upper Lidder Valley. Return back to Hotel for Dinner and overnight Stay.

Day 03: Pahalgam - LOWER LIDDER VALLEY - Srinagar (Fishing)
Early morning after breakfast leave for full day of trout fishing in lower Lidder Valley is arranged by us. Late afternoon return back to Srinagar on arrival at Srinagar check inn Houseboat/Hotel Dinner and overnight stay

Day 04: Srinagar - UPPER SINDH VALLEY - Sonamarg
After breakfast leave for the full day tour of Sonamarg (The Meadows of Gold), Sonamarg lies at the head of the Sindh valley. The drive through here presents a spectacular facet of the countryside; Sonamarg is the beginning of the enchanted journey into a natural wonderland, Surrounded by pine forest mountains upto 5300 meters high the valley is divided by a spur of the "Thajiwas Range Mountains", Sonamarg is known as Gateway of Leh – Ladakh, on arrival at Sonamarg check inn Hotel/Camp afternoon you will leave for trout fishing in the upper Sindh Valley. Return back from Fishing to Hotel/Camp for Dinner and overnight stay

Day 05: Sonamarg - LOWER SINDH VALLEY - Srinagar
Early Morning after breakfast you will leave for full day of trout fishing in lower Sindh valley is scheduled and this day is our last of Trout fishing. After Trout fishing late afternoon you return back to Srinagar on arrival at Srinagar check inn Houseboat/Hotel for Dinner and overnight stay

Day 06: Srinagar International Airport
Morning after breakfast Lake rides by Shikara (Small Cruise Boat) to visit Floating Gardens, Lotus Gardens, Kaboter Khana (Pigeon Palace) & Charchinar (By Prince Murad Baksh in 1641 AD.) inside of the Dal Lake after transfer to airport to connect flight for onward Destination Covered
